Join American Photo Treks for a two-day adventure photographing a number of iconic locations in the spectacular Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. We will guide you to these locations so that you can add these spectacular photographs to your portfolio.
We have years of experience with Canon, Nikon and Sony Camera systems, so we can provide in-depth assistance with your particular camera.

This workshop will be conducted in Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. Camping or lodging is to be arranged on your own. We will meet prior to each session in a designated location on the north side of Moab.

The Photography Workshop:
2-Day/2-Night Arches and Canyonlands Photo Adventure
Join American Photo Treks on a 2-day/2-night photo exclusion through Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. We will be capturing some of the most iconic scenes in the American west at sunrise, sunset and under the Milky Way.
Of course, American Photo Treks will provide photography classes and tips sheets for each location, on-site instruction, as well as, post-processing instruction classes to ensure your images come out great.
In addition to night photography basics, we will also be offering training in advanced night techniques including, stacking and tracking.
Featured locations include:
- Delicate Arch
- Double Arch
- The Windows
- Balanced Rock
- Mesa Arch
- Green River Overlook
- Grand View Point
Hiking: There will be some moderate hiking involved with this adventure. The longest hike is 3.2 miles round trip to Delicate Arch. This is the most strenuous hike. It takes 45-60 minutes at a moderate pace and has a significant elevation gain on the way to Delicate Arch. Most other locations are under one mile round trip.
Transportation: Transportation is on your own. We encourage carpooling.
Refunds are given if the participant cancels no later than eight weeks prior to the scheduled workshop. If cancellation occurs within the eight-week period prior to the workshop, a refund will be given if the spot is able to be filled by another participant. All refunds are subject to a 10% cancellation fee.
You are required to download, sign, and return the Acknowledgement of Risk form required by the National Parks.
