Would you like an introduction to Milky Way and night photography, or would you like to sharpen your skills for the Milky Way season? This workshop is for you.
We will take you to some of our favorite locations in eastern El Paso county under some very dark skies to photograph the Milky Way as it arches over the eastern sky. This workshop is a great introduction to photographing the Milky Way, or to sharpen your skills for this year's Milky Way photography season.
American Photo Treks will provide you detailed instructions on camera settings and lens selections to help you prepare for the workshop. We'll provide any help or instruction that you need during the workshop to ensure that you capture photos you'll be excited about.
- David Soldano (Sony)
- Ken Childress (Nikon)
- Lars Leber (Canon)
Learn more about us here. We have years of experience with Canon, Nikon and Sony Camera systems, so we can provide in-depth assistance with your particular camera.
We will meet Friday, April 17, 2020 at 11:30 pm. The Milky Way rises at 12:40 am, so be on time so we can be set up at our first location and catch it arching over the eastern horizon. We will be parking close to the location where we will be photographing the Milky Way, so no strenuous hiking will be involved.
What you need:
- DSLR capable of ISO 3200 plus
- A couple of fast lenses f2.8 or better
- Remote shutter release
- Warm clothing
We will be photographing in the country east of Colorado Springs. We will sent out the specific meeting location information for those who RSVP for the workshop.
Class size is limited to 12, so sign up right away.
